NASHVILLE, TENN.<\/strong>\u00a0(August 14, 2020) \u2014\u00a0Bringing a dose of heat on the heels of a blazing release streak \u2013 New Year\u2019s surprise and fan favorite \u201cThis Bar,\u201d followed by current Top 25 single \u201cMore Than My Hometown\u201d \u2013 Big Loud Records\u2019\u00a0Morgan Wallen<\/strong>\u00a0is back again today with the Country soundtrack of the season, \u201c7 Summers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Written by Wallen with Nashville songwriting titans Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne and produced by Joey Moi, \u201c7 Summers\u201d is a breezy, sun-kissed reminiscer, loaded with twilight sonics, captivating listeners with its irresistible sway. Instantly a viral hit on TikTok, Wallen announced the release last week on the uber-popular social media platform with a note directly to fans \u2013 watch\u00a0here<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 and created\u00a0an all-new t-shirt<\/a>\u00a0to celebrate.\u00a0Entertainment Tonight<\/em>\u00a0exclusively previewed the new track on Friday night\u2019s broadcast (8\/7), and caught up with Wallen via Zoom\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u20187 Summers\u2019 is a song that originally I didn\u2019t even know if it was going to make my album or if I was ever going to put it out,\u201d shares Wallen. \u201cBut when quarantine first started, I was challenged to do a demo on Instagram so I put out the first verse and chorus of \u20187 Summers.\u2019 I heard a lot of good feedback from it on Instagram, and then it started making the rounds on TikTok \u2013 I saw how much the song was getting played and how much people were enjoying it, even just the first verse and chorus. Social media played a huge part in me releasing this song, especially this early. It\u2019s a cool thing \u2013 me being on the fence about it, then being able to put it out and get people\u2019s feedback. Seeing the response played the biggest part in this release. I think that speaks to just how much fans mean to me and fans mean to music. I\u2019m glad I\u2019m getting to put it out and glad people are loving it, I can\u2019t wait for y\u2019all to hear the full version.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis week, the same week I\u2019m releasing \u20187 Summers,\u2019 I also found out that my album\u00a0IF I KNOW ME<\/em>\u00a0made it to #1 on the\u00a0Billboard<\/em>\u00a0charts. First time it\u2019s made it there, and it surprised me really, I didn\u2019t expect it,\u201d Wallen explains. \u201cI think this speaks to the depth of the project \u2013 when me and my producer and the songwriters were making this album, I wanted to make sure it was good from top to bottom, and this feat that we just accomplished is really showing us that that\u2019s what we did. I\u2019m super thankful for the fans, for people who just discovered me which I think has played a huge part in this too. I\u2019m glad to have new people on board buying and streaming my music. It\u2019s been an awesome journey, and I can\u2019t wait to put my next one out. Hopefully they\u2019ll like this new one just as much!\u201d<\/p>\n
