On the eve of his debut album release, MORGAN WALLEN rocked his first late-night television appearance on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! Thursday (4/26), performing his breakout smash “Up Down” with collaborators Florida Georgia Line.
In a surprise backstage moment, Kimmel presented Wallen and FGL with RIAA GOLD certification plaques, signifying the Top 15 hit has exceeded more than 500,000 sales and streams in the U.S. alone. This marks Wallen’s first GOLD-certified single, which continues its ascent up the Country radio charts.
In case you missed it, watch Wallen turn Kimmel “Up Down” with Florida Georgia Line. In addition, catch his second performance introducing “Whiskey Glasses” (IF I KNOW ME) here.
Wednesday night (4/25), Wallen headlined Los Angeles’ legendary Troubadour nightclub for a sold-out show, turning in a blistering set that included his anthemic debut single “The Way I Talk,” a breakneck medley of covers spanning Def Leppard to Fall Out Boy, a rowdy version of “Play Something Country,” and IF I KNOW ME cuts “Whatcha Know ‘Bout That,” “Had Me By Halftime,” “Happy Hour,” and more.
IF I KNOW ME, his eagerly awaited debut project, is available now at all digital retailers. Produced by ACM and CMA Award winner Joey Moi, the 14-song collection includes six tracks Wallen co-wrote.
The electrifying talent hits the SiriusXM Spotlight stage today (2:45 p.m. PT) at Stagecoach in Indio, CA – his first performance at the famed festival. In addition to celebrating the release of IF I KNOW ME, the tunesmith is also celebrating his first #1 as a songwriter with Jason Aldean’s “You Make It Easy.” He’ll wrap his headlining UP DOWN TOUR tomorrow (4/28) at Stoney’s Rockin’ Country in Las Vegas, NV. Fans can catch Wallen on the road this summer as support on Luke Bryan’s WHAT MAKES YOU COUNTRY TOUR, beginning May 31 in Toronto, CAN.
